Maakbare biodiversiteit


      

  

        

            

                    
Twee torens, één visie: het herstel van de stedelijke biodiversiteit. Wonderwoods brengt Utrecht een verticaal bos, een nieuw ecosysteem in de stad. Het groen op de torens verbetert de luchtkwaliteit en vergroot de biodiversiteit.


De torens zijn verschillend en verwant. INBO werkt als co-architect en engineer nauw samen met Stefano Boeri Architetti om de hoge groene woontoren te realiseren. De integratie van natuur in het ontwerp heeft invloed op de materiaalkeuze, bouwvolgorde en onderhoud van het hele gebouw. Wij hebben hier veel ervaring mee.


Samen met alle ontwerp- en uitvoerende partijen schiepen we voorwaarden waarin het groen goed floreert en de gevel zo min mogelijk vervuilt.


            

          

                  

      

    



      
  

      

  

        

            
We gingen tot het gaatje



                    
Onze taak was het samenbrengen van het esthetische droombeeld van Boeri, de constructieve randvoorwaarden, voorzieningen zoals irrigatie voor de planten en praktische eisen vanuit bouwbaarheid.


We bouwden de virtuele toren in een 3D model en stemden alle verschillende onderdelen op elkaar af. Om nog meer grip te hebben op de maakbaarheid en de perfectie van het eindbeeld printten we de prefab betonnen plantenbakken en boombakken op schaal in 3D. De aannemer toetste dat vervolgens in een 1-op-1 model.

Fijne plek



                    
Naast de buitenkant besteedden we ook veel aandacht aan de binnenkant: de kwaliteit van de woningen. We bouwen immers niet alleen een icoon voor Utrecht, maar vooral ook een fijne plek om te wonen.


Goed ingedeelde woningen, in alle categorieën (midden)huur en koop, zijn voor ons een must. Het dakpark met restaurant, de gym, horeca met gezond eten en verschillende andere faciliteiten zijn er voor zowel bewoners als bezoekers.

Wonderwoods is meer dan twee gebouwen.
