De voormalige ambachtsschool aan de Verspronckweg in Haarlem stond al jaren leeg. INBO ontwierp samen met COD de transformatie van ambachtsschool naar woongebouw. Het gebouw uit 1922 is met zijn indrukwekkende omvang een landmark in de stad.<\/h4>\n","text_right":"

Beautiful details showing the history of this school have been preserved throughout the building. We kept the stained-glass windows and wide corridors. The interiors of five separate rooms that used to serve as teachers\u2019 rooms or boardrooms boasted high-quality monumental finishes. Two new residential buildings border the site. The school\u2019s robust appearance was the inspiration for these buildings. The fresh-yellow, brick fa\u00e7ade of the newbuild echoes the original colour of the vocational school. The rhythm of the school fa\u00e7ade continues in the newbuild.<\/p>\n

We restored the rear courtyard to its original glory.
